Highlander Silver’s Corani Project Surpasses 300 Hires, Advances Infrastructure and Substation
HSLV•Highlander Silver’s Corani Project in Peru has surpassed 300 local hires and started camp and facility construction alongside preliminary earthworks for site infrastructure, pits and collection ponds. Internal and external road works are underway, substation construction is in progress and transmission-line installation and long-lead-time orders are scheduled for August.
1. Workforce and Local Hiring
Highlander Silver Corp has expanded its Corani Silver Project team to over 300 members, prioritizing recruitment from local communities. The project management team is led by Carlos Ojeda, Vice President & General Manager, who brings more than 25 years of technical services experience at major Peruvian open-pit mines.
2. Infrastructure Development
Construction of the project camp and support facilities has commenced, with preliminary earthworks for main infrastructure, pits and collection ponds underway. Both internal and external access roads are being rehabilitated and built to improve logistics and material transport across the site.
3. Power and Equipment Procurement
Substation construction is in progress to secure on-site power, with transmission-line installation slated to begin in August. Long-lead-time equipment orders are planned for the same month to align with the project’s development schedule.
