Hilltop Holdings posted income attributable to common stockholders of $36.5 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, up 1.11% and 10.53% from a year earlier.
Return on average assets rose 0.01 percentage points to 0.99%, while net interest margin widened 0.08 percentage points to 3.21% from the prior quarter.
Noninterest income increased 3.8% to $200 million, while noninterest expense rose 2.1% to $266.7 million from a year earlier.
The board raised the quarterly cash dividend 10% to $0.22 per share, payable Aug. 21 to holders of record Aug. 7.
The company repurchased 1,250,000 shares for $47 million at an average $37.58; buyback authorization was lifted to $200 million, leaving about $106 million capacity.
