Honeywell Rolls Out AI Smart Shopping Platform with Google Cloud Partnership and Cuts 2025 Guidance

HONHON

Honeywell International launched an AI-powered Smart Shopping Platform developed with Google Cloud and 66degrees using Google Gemini and Vertex AI to deliver product search and personalized recommendations in-store. The company cut its fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS and revenue guidance following segment restructuring and litigation expenses.

1. Honeywell and Google Cloud Launch AI-Powered Smart Shopping Platform

Honeywell International Inc. has partnered with Google Cloud and digital consultancy 66degrees to develop a new AI-driven Smart Shopping Platform aimed at transforming in-store retail experiences. The solution leverages Google Gemini for natural-language search and recommendation generation and Vertex AI for real-time analytics on customer behavior. Honeywell will integrate its Honeywell Forge edge-computing capabilities to process in-store sensor data, enabling personalized product suggestions and optimized store layouts. The initial rollout is planned for 50 pilot locations in North America by Q3 2026, with expected deployment in up to 500 global outlets by the end of 2027.

2. Fiscal 2025 Guidance Reduced on Restructuring and Litigation Charges

In its Q4 earnings release, Honeywell trimmed its full-year fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $8.10–$8.30 (previously $8.50–$8.75) and lowered revenue projections to $37.5 billion–$38.0 billion (versus prior guidance of $39.0 billion–$39.5 billion). The revisions reflect $250 million of charges associated with ongoing segment restructuring and $150 million of incremental litigation expenses. Management attributed the adjustments to accelerated integration costs in its Automation & Control Solutions segment and higher-than-expected legal reserves in its aerospace aftermarket business.
