Honeywell wins about $300 million contract for Dangote’s planned Kenya refinery
HON•Honeywell won an approximately $300 million contract to provide technology, engineering, equipment and other services for Dangote’s planned 700,000-barrel-per-day Kenya refinery.
1. Contract details
Honeywell will supply process technology, licensing, engineering, catalysts, equipment and digital solutions for the refinery. Designs developed for Dangote’s Lekki refinery in Nigeria are expected to cut the Kenya project’s development schedule by nearly two years, or about 30%; the facility is expected to be the world’s largest single-train refinery and able to process light-to-heavy crude grades.
