2. Other transaction pending
The acquisition expands Horace Mann’s offerings beyond insurance and financial products to include employer-focused well-being services. Horace Mann had flagged the purchase on July 21, 2026, as part of two separate agreements with Medical Mutual; a separate transaction involving Reserve National and a group life and disability reinsurance deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.
