Horizon Aircraft Chooses BETA’s DAL-A Flight Control System for Cavorite X7 VTOL
HOVR•Horizon Aircraft selected BETA Technologies' fly-by-wire flight control computers and customized software for its full-scale hybrid-electric VTOL Cavorite X7 supporting FAA Part 21.17(b), Part 23 and Part 25 certification pathways. Horizon Aircraft has entered into a strategic partnership with BETA Technologies to integrate advanced fly-by-wire flight control computers and bespoke software into its Cavorite X7 hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft.
2. Flight Control System Specifications
BETA’s flight control computers are purpose-built for modern VTOL platforms, featuring safety-critical software, system redundancy and a flexible architecture designed to meet FAA Part 21.17(b), Part 23 and Part 25 certification standards as well as international regulatory frameworks.

By leveraging BETA’s existing FCC hardware and shared economies of scale, Horizon Aircraft expects to accelerate development and testing timelines, lower component costs and pave the way for future autonomous mission capabilities.
