Howmet Aerospace reported an 18.5% adjusted operating margin for full-year 2025, up from 17.3% a year earlier, despite raw material and energy costs rising approximately 8%. This 120-basis-point improvement was driven by tighter cost controls in machining operations and productivity gains at its key jet engine component plants in Texas and Indiana. Fixed-cost leverage on a 6% increase in consolidated revenues helped absorb a larger share of stainless-steel and aluminum billet price increases, while supply-chain simplification initiatives reduced inventory carrying costs by $25 million versus 2024.

Management attributed part of the margin gain to strategic pricing actions across its aerospace fastening and airframe structural businesses, implementing average contract price increases of 4.2% during 2025. These measures offset 60% of unit cost inflation and contributed to a 9% year-over-year rise in segment EBITDA. Reflecting this momentum, Howmet raised its full-year 2025 EBITDA guidance to a range of $1.38 billion to $1.42 billion, up from the prior outlook of $1.30 billion to $1.36 billion, signaling confidence in sustained cash-flow generation and free cash flow conversion above 80%.
