HPE Unveils NS9 X5 Compute with 15% Performance Boost and 8-Port Aruba CX 6000 Switches
At NRF 2026, HPE introduced HPE Nonstop Compute NS9 X5 and NS5 X5 platforms delivering up to 15% more performance and scaling to 4,000 nodes, plus 8-port Aruba CX 6000 switches with boosted PoE capacity. HPE also integrated Mist AIOps’ Marvis with Juniper Analytics and offers via GreenLake cloud services.
1. HPE Strengthens Secure, AI-Driven Networking with Juniper Acquisition
In July 2025, Hewlett Packard Enterprise completed its strategic $13.4 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks, integrating Juniper’s high-performance routing and SD-WAN capabilities into HPE’s Aruba Networking and AI-powered portfolio. This deal expands HPE’s addressable market in secure enterprise and telecom networking by an estimated 30 percent, adding over 4 000 new global customers and consolidating R&D efforts around quantum-resilient encryption and zero-trust architectures. HPE forecasts that combined networking revenues will grow at a mid-teens CAGR through 2030, driven by cross-selling opportunities in AI-native management (Mist AIOps), hybrid cloud deployments and next-generation firewall integration. The acquisition also accelerates HPE’s roadmap for post-quantum cryptography, building on Juniper’s patents and HPE’s internal R&D investment of $500 million in secure networking over the past two years.
2. HPE Unveils Expanded Retail Portfolio at NRF 2026
At NRF 2026: Retail’s Big Show, HPE introduced enhancements to its retail-ready solutions, emphasizing continuous operations, security and AI insights across edge and core. Key announcements include the HPE Nonstop Compute NS9 X5 and NS5 X5 platforms, which deliver up to 15 percent more performance capacity and scale linearly to 4 000 nodes, based on HPE benchmarks comparing these models to their predecessors. On the edge, the new 8-port HPE Aruba Networking CX 6000 Switch Series offers increased Power over Ethernet capacity—supporting up to 60 W per port—to connect IoT devices, cameras and digital signage without infrastructure overhaul. Integration of Marvis virtual network assistant with Juniper Networking Premium Analytics in the Mist AIOps platform now provides natural-language access to occupancy and engagement metrics, reducing mean time to resolution by up to 40 percent in pilot deployments. All solutions are available as a subscription via HPE GreenLake, aligning capital expenditures with transaction volumes and seasonal demand patterns.
