HPQ Silicon partner Novacium ships first prototype battery batch to French Army technical unit STAT under contract
HPQ•HPQ Silicon partner Novacium delivered a first batch of prototype tactical radio batteries to the French Army Technical Section in Q3 2026. The 144 Wh battery uses GEN3 21700 cells, double the 72 Wh reference battery currently in service.
1. Prototype battery delivery
Novacium delivered the first batch under a contract awarded by the French Army Technical Section, known as STAT, in late June 2026. The contract calls for successive batches of prototype batteries.
2. Testing planned
STAT will conduct operational testing in the coming weeks to validate performance before a second batch moves toward a production configuration.
