HUTCHMED's Orpathys-Tagrisso combination extends survival in Phase III lung cancer trial

The Phase III SAFFRON trial found that Orpathys with Tagrisso improved survival versus chemotherapy in patients with previously treated advanced lung cancer. The combination also delayed disease progression in patients with EGFR mutations and high MET overexpression or amplification following Tagrisso treatment.
2. Regulatory progress
Results were presented at the ESMO Congress 2026 and published simultaneously in The New England Journal of Medicine. HUTCHMED said the combination had a manageable safety profile with no new safety concerns, and the findings supported a US marketing application; submissions in Europe and Japan are progressing.
