Hycroft’s Resource Estimate Grows 55% to 16.4 Moz Gold and 562.6 Moz Silver
Hycroft’s Jan 21, 2026 Mineral Resource update reports 16.4 Moz gold and 562.6 Moz silver M+I, a 55% increase in both metals and 50% gold/38% silver inferred gains. Tests show 83% gold and 78% silver recoveries via POX and milling, and define a 90.2 Moz high-grade silver resource at Brimstone and Vortex.
1. Updated Mineral Resource Estimate
Hycroft filed an independent technical report effective January 21, 2026 updating its Mineral Resource estimate to 16.4 million ounces of gold and 562.6 million ounces of silver in the Measured and Indicated category, reflecting 55% growth in both metals with inferred gains of 50% for gold and 38% for silver at assumed prices of $3,100/oz gold and $36/oz silver.
2. Robust Metallurgical Recoveries
Metallurgical test work demonstrates robust recoveries with 83% gold and 78% silver recoveries using a combination of milling and pressure oxidation processes; flow sheet optimization and ongoing roasting trade-off studies aim to convert neutralization costs into sulfuric acid by-product revenues.
3. High-Grade Silver Systems and Future Plans
Drilling has delineated a high-grade silver resource totaling 90.2 million ounces within the Brimstone and Vortex systems, both of which remain open along strike and at depth following 70 drill holes; the company plans to extend its 2025–2026 exploration program to further expand these systems and refine project design.
