IBM Expands AI Security with Concert Suite, Secure Coder and Glasswing Alliance
IBM expanded its AI-powered security portfolio with IBM Concert for unified vulnerability detection and Secure Coder for automated IDE-based remediations, plus IBM Autonomous Security’s multi-agent threat response at machine speed. It also joined Project Glasswing with Anthropic to identify and patch critical open-source software vulnerabilities, sharing fixes across 175 countries.
1. AI-Powered Security Portfolio Expansion
IBM has broadened its enterprise security offerings to address AI-driven threats by launching IBM Concert, which unifies application, infrastructure and network signals into a single operational view. The company also introduced Secure Coder to detect and prioritize code risks in developers’ IDEs and IBM Autonomous Security to coordinate detection and response at machine speed.
2. Project Glasswing Collaboration
As a member of Project Glasswing alongside Anthropic, IBM is proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in widely used open-source software. The company contributes upstream patches, coordinated disclosure data and best practices to strengthen critical infrastructure across industries.
3. Client Applications and Outlook
IBM’s hybrid cloud and cybersecurity clients in more than 175 countries will gain access to these AI-driven defenses, aiming to reduce time to remediation and lower exposure to advanced attacks. This expansion is expected to bolster IBM’s software and consulting services revenues while enhancing its competitive position in the cybersecurity market.
