IDEAYA Biosciences plans to start a randomized Phase 3 registrational trial of IDE849 in extensive-stage small cell lung cancer by year-end 2026.
The design targets a single study that could support accelerated approval based on tumor response and full approval based on survival.
The trial aims to enroll about 400 patients previously treated with tarlatamab, comparing IDE849 with investigator’s choice chemotherapy.
Dose selection and upcoming updates
Dose selection is still underway in an ongoing Phase 1 program to set the recommended Phase 3 dose.
Additional clinical updates are scheduled for ESMO 2026, with further results expected from an IDEAYA-sponsored study in Q4 2026.
