IEA suggests members assess need for more diesel releases

Fatih Birol suggested that all IEA members assess whether additional diesel releases are necessary and set out their scale, timing and supplemental nature as governments address record fuel prices and supply disruptions caused by the Iran war. The agency also urged members that have not fully delivered pledged volumes to accelerate their remaining releases, prioritizing diesel, ahead of its October 15 governing board meeting.
