Infosys, Anthropic Launch Claude-Powered AI Center in Telecom with Multi-Industry Rollout
Infosys has partnered with Anthropic to launch a dedicated Center of Excellence for Claude-powered AI agents in telecommunications, expanding to financial services, manufacturing and software development. The collaboration integrates Infosys Topaz with Anthropic’s Claude models to automate complex workflows, accelerate software delivery and modernize legacy systems.
1. Strategic Collaboration Launch
Infosys has entered a strategic partnership with Anthropic to develop enterprise AI solutions, starting with a dedicated Center of Excellence for Claude-powered agents in the telecommunications sector. The partnership aims to build AI agents that automate complex telecom workflows and streamline customer lifecycle management under regulated conditions.
2. Technical Integration
The collaboration integrates Infosys Topaz AI offerings with Anthropic’s Claude models, including Claude Code, to deliver agentic AI capable of handling multi-step tasks such as code generation, compliance reviews and automated claims processing. Use of the Claude Agent SDK will enable persistent AI agents across long-running processes rather than one-off queries.
3. Industry Applications
After its telecom debut, the alliance plans to extend AI agent deployment to financial services for risk detection, compliance reporting and personalized advice; to manufacturing for accelerated design simulations; and to software development for automated code writing, testing and debugging. Infosys is already building internal expertise by using Claude Code within its Exponential Engineering group.
4. Strategic Impact
By combining Topaz’s infrastructure modernization tools with frontier AI, Infosys expects to reduce migration costs on legacy systems and accelerate software delivery for global clients. The partnership enhances Infosys’s competitive positioning in regulated industries and underscores its commitment to AI-driven digital transformation.
