Innoviz LiDAR Integration Boosts AeroNous' Counter-UAS Platform with Centimeter-Level Localization
INVZ•Innoviz is integrating its automotive-grade LiDAR sensors into AeroNous' open-architecture C2 platform, delivering centimeter-level 3D localization for continuous high-confidence positioning of aerial threats. AeroNous, part of Israel Shipyards Industries Group, plans to deploy this capability across defense, homeland security, critical infrastructure and maritime security applications.
1. Partnership Overview
Innoviz has partnered with AeroNous to embed its automotive-grade LiDAR sensor platforms into AeroNous’ open-architecture counter-UAS command-and-control system. This collaboration positions Innoviz’s established technology as the primary sensor for continuous drone detection, tracking and response within AeroNous’ unified operational picture framework.
2. Technical Impact
By implementing centimeter-level 3D localization, Innoviz’s LiDAR enables operators to receive real-time, high-confidence coordinates on aerial threats, even in cluttered or contested environments. This precision tracking addresses a critical capability gap in existing counter-UAS solutions by replacing estimated positions with exact measurements.
3. Deployment Plans
As a member of Israel Shipyards Industries Group, AeroNous intends to leverage the enhanced platform across multiple sectors, including defense, homeland security, critical infrastructure protection and maritime security. The phased rollout will target key government and commercial clients seeking advanced counter-drone defenses.
