Intel Unveils Rack-Scale AI Infrastructure and Xeon 6+ Partnerships
INTC•Intel introduced rack-scale AI infrastructure using Xeon processors and SambaNova SN-50 units and launched a Vector Core Compute inference cloud backed by Vista Equity Partners and Cambium Capital. It signed partnerships with Foxconn, Siemens, Hitachi, Echo Neurotechnologies and Greenstone Biosciences and highlighted its Xeon 6+ processors built on Intel 18A.
1. Broadened AI Infrastructure
Intel expanded its AI product lineup with rack-scale inference infrastructure built around its Xeon CPUs and SambaNova SN-50 reconfigurable dataflow units, targeting both inference and agentic workloads at the data center level.
2. Vector Core Compute and Disaggregated Inference
The company launched Vector Core Compute, an enterprise inference cloud backed by Vista Equity Partners and Cambium Capital, and introduced a disaggregated AI setup combining Intel Xeon processors, SambaNova reconfigurable dataflow units and NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs to optimize performance across diverse workloads.
3. Strategic Collaborations and Xeon 6+
Intel secured strategic collaborations with Foxconn, Siemens, Hitachi, Echo Neurotechnologies and Greenstone Biosciences to develop vertical AI solutions, and highlighted its next-generation Xeon 6+ processors built on the Intel 18A process for high-density, scale-out enterprise deployments.
