Intersnack to buy Utz shares for USD 14.25 each, take snackmaker private with founding family

The Rice and Lissette family committed to vote shares representing about 42% of Utz’s common stock in favor of the transaction.
Intersnack agrees to buy Utz shares in cash deal
Intersnack Group agreed to buy all outstanding Utz Class A shares for USD 14.25 each in cash, valuing the deal at about USD 2.9 billion.
Utz will be taken private, with Intersnack and the Rice and Lissette family entities each holding 50% upon closing.
The price implies a roughly 91% premium to the July 20, 2026 close; closing is expected in Q4 2026, subject to conditions.
