Intrepid Potash Project Clears Milestone for 5,000 tpy Battery-Grade Lithium
Intrepid Potash’s updated technical report confirms the White Silver Lithium Project will recover 5,000 tons per year of battery-grade lithium carbonate from Wendover, Utah industrial brine by-product. The project’s modular PEARL™ process taps an estimated 119,000-ton measured and indicated lithium carbonate resource for domestic supply.
1. Updated TRS Validates White Silver Project
Intrepid Potash published an updated Technical Report Summary confirming long-term viability of the White Silver Lithium Project, which is designed to recover 5,000 tons per year of battery-grade lithium carbonate from an industrial brine by-product stream at its Wendover, Utah potash facility.
2. Modular Technology and Resource Base
The project leverages Aquatech’s PEARL™ full–flow–sheet process and Adionics’ direct lithium extraction technology to refine lithium chloride on-site to over 99.5% lithium carbonate, tapping an estimated 119,000 tons of measured and indicated lithium carbonate equivalent resources.
3. Strategic Joint Development
White Silver LLC, a subsidiary of Aquatech, is executing the design, engineering and construction under a joint development agreement with Intrepid Potash and Adionics, aiming to pioneer the first U.S. facility delivering high-purity lithium at scale from an existing industrial process.
