Intuit Unveils SoHo TurboTax Flagship with AI Automation, Adds 20 Stores and 600 Expert Offices

INTUINTU

Intuit opened its flagship SoHo TurboTax store at 463 Broadway, launching nearly 20 new stores and expanding to 600 Expert Offices nationwide, combining AI-driven data entry (90% of common forms, 80% simple returns) with local tax expertise. The move amplifies Intuit’s AI+HI strategy and could drive service revenue growth.

1. CEO Highlights Transformative AI Tax Capabilities

Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi emphasized on 'The Claman Countdown' that the company’s agentic AI platform now automates data entry for 90% of the most commonly used tax forms and can complete up to 80% of a simple filer’s return before the customer begins. Goodarzi noted that recent tax code changes—including modifications to child tax credits and new small-business provisions—underscore the importance of AI-driven guidance, which Intuit projects will save filers an average of 75 minutes each and surface an incremental $150 in deductions per household. He also revealed that over 70% of TurboTax users engaged with AI-powered tools in last year’s filing season, driving a 25% increase in overall customer satisfaction scores.

2. Nationwide Expansion of TurboTax Flagships and Expert Offices

Building on its digital leadership, Intuit has inaugurated its first TurboTax flagship store at 463 Broadway in New York’s SoHo neighborhood and plans to open up to 20 additional branded stores before the filing deadline. These locations will complement nearly 600 existing TurboTax Expert Offices, extending in-person AI+HI integration to key markets: Harlem, Williamsburg and Garden City in New York; Culver City, Pasadena and Costa Mesa in Southern California; Fulton and Armitage in Chicago; Belt Line and Park Lane in Dallas; and Scottsdale in Phoenix. Each store features seamless digital-to-physical workflows, AI-driven expert matching within seconds, and private consultation suites to accommodate both “Do It With Me” and full-service preferences.

3. Commitment to Community Financial Literacy

As part of the SoHo flagship launch, Intuit announced a $100,000 donation to New York City public schools to enhance financial literacy programs for students. The funds will support curriculum development and teacher training, reaching an estimated 10,000 middle and high school students over the next academic year. Intuit’s partnership with architectural firm Gensler and creative studio BUCK on the flagship’s interactive learning Forum underscores the company’s goal to foster financial education beyond tax season, aligning long-term prosperity with its core mission.
