IperionX validates GenX continuous titanium production, cuts power use over 75% versus batch process
IPX•Next steps target further optimization and scale-up
Work in Q4 2026 targets further furnace optimization, integration into a full powder line, engineering for the first industrial-scale GenX line.
Power use and material consumption fall versus batch HAMR
Power use fell by more than 75% per kg versus batch HAMR; magnesium consumption dropped over 45%; hydrogen use decreased over 60%.
Angular powder oxygen averaged 0.126% (range 0.104%-0.144%) versus a Grade 5 limit of 0.2%; spherical averaged 0.078% (0.072%-0.084%) versus Grade 23 at 0.13%.
GenX continuous titanium production validated across four campaigns
IperionX validated GenX continuous HAMR titanium production across four campaigns, processing over 500 kg in 41 hours at about 12 kg/hour.
Throughput ran at six times the batch HAMR system on a like-for-like run-time basis, supporting a lower unit-cost pathway.
