Second-quarter profit rises on Kipushi and Kamoa-Kakula
Ivanhoe Mines posted a USD 46 million profit in Q2 2026, driven by USD 27 million segmented profit at Kipushi and a USD 16 million share of profit from Kamoa-Kakula.
Adjusted EBITDA was USD 179 million; Kamoa-Kakula contributed USD 152 million on a 100% basis, with EBITDA of USD 385 million on USD 880 million revenue.
Kamoa-Kakula sold 61,249 tonnes of payable copper at USD 5.99/lb; cost of sales rose to USD 4.86/lb, mainly from USD 1.35/lb depreciation.
Kipushi revenue was USD 146 million; EBITDA was USD 51 million; zinc sales fell to 43,424 tonnes due to logistics, lifting unsold inventory by about 14,000 tonnes.
Cash and cash equivalents were USD 635 million at ; Kamoa-Kakula copper inventory stayed near , with destocking expected in .
