JD.com Launches Joybuy in Six European Markets, Reaching 4.5 Million Households

JD.com has launched its Joybuy online marketplace in the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, reaching 17 million people across 4.5 million households with same-day delivery in select UK cities and next-day service elsewhere. It leverages over 60 warehouses, 90,000 m² of UK facilities and JoyPlus free-delivery subscriptions.

1. Launch Details

JD.com introduced its Joybuy online marketplace simultaneously in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the UK, offering products across technology, appliances, beauty, home goods, groceries and essentials. The rollout targets 17 million potential customers across 4.5 million households, marking its most ambitious European entry to date.

2. Logistics and Delivery Network

UK customers placing orders before 11am qualify for same-day delivery via the Double 11 service, arriving before 11pm, while orders before 11pm receive next-day delivery. Logistics are handled through JoyExpress, which operates more than 60 warehouses and depots across Europe and self-managed facilities in Milton Keynes and Luton totaling over 90,000 m².

3. Subscription and Partnerships

Joybuy features branded storefronts from Bodum, Braun, Emma, De’Longhi, L’Oréal Paris and The Pink Stuff. The JoyPlus subscription offers free delivery on all orders without a minimum spend, along with exclusive promotions and a points-based rewards program to drive customer loyalty.
