JetBlue Plans First-Ever Fort Lauderdale–Caracas Route with A320s by Year-End
JBLU•JetBlue intends to launch nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport before year-end, pending Venezuelan government approval. The route will utilize Airbus A320s to tap into South Florida’s large Venezuelan community and complement nearly 130 daily departures from the airline’s expanding Fort Lauderdale hub.
1. JetBlue Announces First Venezuela Service
JetBlue has revealed its intent to begin nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS), marking its inaugural service to Venezuela. The offering remains subject to Venezuelan government approval and completion of regulatory processes before launch.
2. Operational Details and Fleet
The carrier plans to deploy its Airbus A320 aircraft on the new route, featuring free unlimited Fly-Fi®, seatback entertainment and complimentary snacks and drinks. Tickets are slated to go on sale in the coming months ahead of a service launch before year-end.

This Caracas route builds on JetBlue’s expansion at its Fort Lauderdale focus city, which expects nearly 130 daily departures this summer.
