Joey Logano, 17-year Cup Series veteran and 14-season Ford driver, has taken an equity stake in North Carolina’s Huntersville Ford dealership. He plans to leverage his Team Penske ties and Ford racing heritage to boost dealership sales and collaboration between Ford’s race program and street-vehicle R&D.

1. Investment Details

Joey Logano has acquired an equity stake in Huntersville Ford, a local dealership in North Carolina, after 17 years in the NASCAR Cup Series and 14 seasons driving Ford vehicles. He partnered with the Kraus Automotive Group, building on long-standing relationships formed through Team Penske’s Ford program.

2. Strategic Involvement

Logano will not oversee daily operations but will act as a strategic ambassador, using race wins and his media presence to drive vehicle traffic and sales. He aims to integrate Sunday track results with Monday showroom promotions and develop cross-promotional campaigns tied to Ford’s motorsport performance.

3. Racing Heritage and R&D

He highlighted Ford’s century-old racing roots, from Henry Ford’s early sweepstakes victories that funded the Model T through today’s Charlotte R&D center. Logano noted that the same engineers developing prototype street vehicles also work on race cars, creating a feedback loop that accelerates technology transfer.
