JPM•JPMorgan Chase said it has invested $5 billion in equity in industries critical to US economic and national security. It has financed about $230 billion under its Security and Resiliency Initiative since launching it a year ago.
JPMorgan Chase said its equity investments support companies in advanced manufacturing, energy, supply chains and defense-related technologies. Investments include new funding for next-generation defense technologies, distributed battery storage, automated manufacturing and frontier technologies.
The bank has financed about $230 billion under its Security and Resiliency Initiative, launched a year ago with a commitment to finance $1.5 trillion of US investments over the next decade, including in national security. Initiative head Jay Horine said the next phase would focus on expanding industrial capacity, strengthening supply chains and supporting industries tied to long-term economic resilience and national security.
