JPMorgan expands corporate banking business to Greece

LONDON, Sept. 9 (Reuters) - JPMorgan JPM.N has expanded its corporate banking business to Greece, the U.S. bank said on Wednesday, as part of a broader plan to grow its services for companies across Europe.

JPMorgan has increased staff in its global corporate banking division by 25% across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the last two years, and said the latest move reflected recent growth in the Greek economy.

• Konstantinos Makrydakis will lead the corporate banking business in Greece, serving large and medium-sized companies, the bank said.
• The bank will offer its array of financing, lending and hedging products as well as target investment banking deals in the country.
• JPMorgan is seeking to claim market share from regional and domestic rivals in the region, Reuters reported in July.
