Keller installs 1,000-plus piles for Viridor Thameside energy recovery project at Tilbury Docks

Keller was selected as principal contractor for foundation works on Viridor’s Thameside Energy Recovery Facility at Tilbury Docks, Essex.
- More than 1,000 piles were installed using CFA and driven precast methods to support the plant’s heavy structural loads.
- The facility is designed to process 350,000 tonnes of residual waste a year into electricity, with commercial operations targeted for 2028.
