Kingstone has appointed Sylvie Widjaja as Vice President and California Business Leader at its KINS Insurance Agency, an Excess and Surplus Lines broker. She will spearhead entry into California’s homeowners market, leveraging over 20 years of distribution, underwriting and claims experience.
Kingstone’s wholly owned subsidiary, KINS Insurance Agency, has named Sylvie Widjaja as Vice President and California Business Leader, reporting to President and CEO Meryl Golden. Widjaja brings more than two decades of experience across distribution, underwriting, product development and claims, having held senior roles at Mercury Insurance Group, Travelers and Progressive.
Kingstone is launching its homeowners insurance offering in California on an Excess and Surplus Lines basis, targeting growth through disciplined execution and strong independent agency partnerships. Widjaja will leverage her local insight and agent relationships to establish a profitable California platform and navigate market capacity challenges.
