DOJ settlement and penalty
KKR entered a DOJ Antitrust Division stipulation on Aug. 26, 2026 to settle an HSR premerger-notification civil antitrust case.
The settlement calls for a subsidiary to pay USD 250 million, contingent on a proposed final judgment taking effect.
The DOJ would release all defendants from the complaint’s claims, and related DOJ investigations into KKR and affiliates have been terminated.
