Klarna Expands eBay Resale to Six Markets, Shares Jump 4%
Klarna expanded its eBay embedded resell integration into six new markets—Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Poland and Switzerland—auto-populating item details with past purchase data. Since December 2024 the feature generated over one million eBay listings through the Klarna app, lifting shares more than 4% and 11% above their 52-week low.
1. Expansion of eBay Resale Integration
Klarna is rolling out its embedded resale feature to six additional countries—Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Poland and Switzerland—enabling users to list and buy second-hand items within the Klarna app. The integration auto-populates product descriptions, images and transaction details by leveraging users’ past purchase data.
2. User Adoption Metrics
Since its launch in December 2024 in the U.S. and U.K., more than one million eBay listings have been created directly through the Klarna app. Engagement has been strongest in categories such as automotive parts, accessories and fashion, indicating broad consumer interest in circular commerce.
3. Market Response and Stock Reaction
Shares of Klarna rose over 4% on the day of the announcement and are trading 11% above their 52-week low. The stock’s RSI sits at 26.2, suggesting it remains in oversold territory even after the uptick.
