Kornit Digital Launches Atlas MATRIX System with Karbon Shield to Target $14B Market
Kornit Digital unveiled its Atlas MATRIX, a unified on-demand apparel production system supporting cotton, polyester, and blends with Karbon Shield technology preventing dye migration in a single-step process. Orders open today for delivery starting in early May to address the 14 billion-impression screen-printing market’s 6 billion low-run segment.
1. Atlas MATRIX Overview
Atlas MATRIX is the first unified digital textile production system enabling on-demand manufacturing across cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics. It consolidates printing and transfer methods into a single-step workflow, delivering retail-quality durability and softness while eliminating complex setups and manual interventions.
2. Karbon Shield Protection
At its core, Atlas MATRIX features Karbon Shield technology, a proprietary protection layer that prevents dye migration on deep-dyed and sublimated polyester. This breakthrough allows consistent vibrant imagery and durable prints in a true single-step process, maintaining a soft hand feel and bypassing the multiple stages required in traditional screen printing.
3. Market Opportunity and Applications
The system targets the global screen-printing market’s approximately 14 billion annual impressions, including 6 billion low-run orders under 1,000 units and 30 percent polyester and blended materials. Two configurations—a neon setup for performance applications and a red and green setup for fashion—expand creative possibilities and open new revenue streams for brands and producers.
4. Availability and Ordering
Orders for Atlas MATRIX are now open, with customer deliveries starting in early May. Existing Atlas MAX PLUS and Atlas MAX POLY customers can upgrade through available packages, and live demonstrations will be held at industry events like FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona from May 19–22.
