Kratos conducted an extensive multi-state review and selected Odon, Indiana to host its new mid-tier coupled arc-jet and laser facility under Project Helios, citing the site’s ability to meet stringent technical, operational and utility requirements by local partners.

Designed for high-throughput aerothermal testing, the Odon facility will fill critical gaps in U.S. hypersonic materials evaluation by enabling accelerated transition from laboratory tests to fielded systems, supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The project represents a major investment in the U.S. defense industrial base and underscores Kratos’ commitment to national security; partnerships with Indiana’s leadership and utilities aim to foster long-term regional economic growth alongside enhanced defense infrastructure.
