1. Kroger Health Exceeds 250,000 Student Participants in Drug Safety Curriculum
Kroger Health has announced that over 250,000 middle and high school students have now completed its Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth program, delivered at no cost through its partnership with Everfi. Since the initiative began in the 2017–18 academic year with just 700 participants, annual enrollment has surged to nearly 65,000 students in 2024–25. Pre- and post-program assessments indicate that participants significantly improve their understanding of safe use, storage and disposal of prescription medications, and report feeling better prepared to support peers who may be affected by prescription drug misuse. Kroger Health President Colleen Lindholz highlighted that this milestone underscores the division’s long-term commitment to community health education and building resilience among young people.
