Available only at Kroger stores, the product combines premium white-meat wings with the brand’s signature heat and crunch, targeting the estimated 180 million Americans who watch the Big Game each year. Alongside the wings, Kroger reintroduced its Champion Chip Collection in limited flavors – Pigs in a Blanket, Mozzarella Sticks and Buffalo Wings – designed to drive incremental basket size during the peak snack season. In the most recent quarter, Mirae Asset Global Investments increased its Kroger position by 8.8%, adding 10,570 shares to bring its total to 130,012 shares valued at approximately $8.76 million. During the same period, the National Pension Service added 91,946 shares – a 6.8% lift – bringing its holding to 1,439,658 shares, representing a $97 million investment. Other notable moves include Brighton Jones LLC, which grew its stake by 27.3% to 15,733 shares, and Woodline Partners LP, adding 16,270 shares for a 40.7% increase. Institutional ownership now exceeds 80% of Kroger’s float, underscoring confidence in the retailer’s ability to leverage exclusive product launches and omnichannel promotions to drive long-term revenue growth.
