Kyivstar partners with MeetKai to build sovereign AI data center in Ukraine
VEON•Kyivstar and MeetKai plan to build Ukraine’s first national-scale AI factory, with initial capacity targeted for 2027 and expansion from 15 MW to 100 MW.
1. Project plans and capacity
Kyivstar, a VEON subsidiary, partnered with MeetKai to build a sovereign AI data center in Ukraine using NVIDIA AI infrastructure. Initial capacity is planned to come online in 2027, with the facility designed to expand from 15 MW to 100 MW as public-sector and enterprise demand grows. The site will host Ukrainian-language models trained and served inside Ukraine, and Kyivstar will co-operate it to provide compute and AI services to government and enterprise customers.
