L3Harris raised its 2026 per-share profit forecast to $11.40–$11.60 after first-quarter revenue topped estimates at $5.74 billion and earnings reached $2.72 a share. Missile solutions revenue jumped 18% and Space & mission systems sales grew 24% as the Pentagon injected $1 billion into a planned spin-off for solid rocket motor production.

1. Strong Q1 Financial Results

L3Harris delivered first-quarter revenue of $5.74 billion, surpassing estimates by $320 million, while net income rose to $2.72 per share from $2.04 a year ago. The company lifted its 2026 per-share profit guidance to $11.40–$11.60, up from $11.30–$11.50 previously.

2. Segment Revenue Expansion

The missile solutions segment recorded an 18% revenue increase driven by heightened demand for propulsion and hypersonic weapons components. Space and mission systems sales climbed 24% as production of satellite capabilities and missile defense platforms ramped up for classified and international programs.

3. Pentagon Investment and Spin-Off Plans

In a strategic move, L3Harris confidentially filed for an IPO of its missile solutions unit under a Department of Defense partnership. The DOD has pledged $1 billion to the spin-off to expand manufacturing of solid rocket motors used in Tomahawks, Patriots and other missile systems.
