Lakeland Industries’ California PPE unit installed California’s first CO₂ turnout-gear cleaning system at its Riverside facility.
The Riverside site now accepts fire-department gear for DualPhase Clean, combining wet washing with CO₂ decontamination.
The UL-tested process removed up to 90%+ of heavy metals and up to 99.9% of SVOCs, exceeding NFPA 1850’s 50% minimum.
The system is leased from Tersus Solutions under a February 2026 agreement, expanding service capacity across the US.
California PPE is scheduled to hold an Oct. 14 open house in Riverside to showcase the new decontamination capability.
