With these additions, the portfolio expands to 27 granted Nu-3 gel patents across major markets, bolstering protection ahead of Phase 2 trials for infected diabetic foot ulcers.

On February 3, 2026, New Zealand’s IPONZ granted patent No. 759577 for the Bisphosphocin Nu-3 gel formulation and its uses, followed on March 19, 2026 by IP Australia issuing patent No. 2024202211, both covering lyotropic liquid-crystal gel compositions designed for topical treatment of infected wounds.
2. Expanded Global Patent Portfolio
These two patents increase the total to 27 granted Nu-3 gel formulation patents across major regions including the US, European Patent Office territories, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, which sit within a broader portfolio of 71 granted and 28 pending patents protecting composition, formulation, and use of the Bisphosphocin class.
