LTRN•USPTO allows patent application for LP-184 treatment methods
Lantern Pharma says it received a USPTO Notice of Allowance for a patent application covering biomarker-guided use of LP-184 (zirdafulven) in solid tumors.
The claims cover selecting patients with certain solid tumor cancers based on elevated PTGR1, PTPN14, and ASPH expression in tumor samples.
LP-184 is a PTGR1-activated prodrug designed to induce DNA damage in tumors with deficient DNA damage repair pathways.
A 63-patient Phase 1a trial in advanced solid tumors reported a 45% disease control rate at or above the effective therapeutic dose.
The company plans multiple precision oncology Phase 1b/2 trials for LP-184 in 2026.
