Lantronix teams with Swarmer to develop custom compute module for small drones
LTRX•Long-life production platform
Lantronix said the effort is intended to be a long-life, NDAA-compliant production platform with a planned support horizon of more than 10 years.
Focus on defense use in contested environments
The effort is aimed at scaling low-cost FPV drones for defense programs in Ukraine, the U.S. and allied countries, with a focus on contested, GPS-denied environments.
Open-Q 6490CS to run AI autonomy software on-board
The design centers on Lantronix’s Open-Q 6490CS system-on-module to run Swarmer’s AI autonomy software on-board.
The platform targets more than 400% higher on-board compute versus current systems, supporting vision navigation, target recognition, and pixel lock.
Partnership to develop compute module for Group 1 drones
Lantronix partnered with Swarmer to develop a custom compute module for Group 1 small unmanned aircraft systems.
