Laser Photonics Raises $6.1M, Advances Anti-Drone System after MEIA Vulcan Selection
LASE•Laser Photonics posted Q1 2026 net sales of $0.9 million, raised $6.1 million in a public offering to repay all past-due debt and finished with $1.6 million cash. Its Laser Shield Anti-Drone System advanced to demonstrations after U.S. Department of War MEIA Vulcan selection, and launched a DefenseTech product line.
1. First Quarter Financial Results
Laser Photonics reported Q1 2026 net sales of $0.9 million and a net loss of $2.9 million (-$0.11 per share). The company raised $6.1 million in February and an additional $3.6 million in April, repaid all past-due debt, consolidated manufacturing into its Lake Mary, Florida facility, and ended the quarter with $1.6 million cash.
2. Defense System Advancement
The Laser Shield Anti-Drone System, co-developed with Fonon Technologies, was selected by the U.S. Department of War under the MEIA Vulcan Call for Solutions in the Counter-C5ISR-T category and invited to a technical exchange. LSAD has moved into government and international demonstrations following showcases at Special Operations Forces Week 2026 and the Capitol Hill Defense Outlook Summit.
3. New Product Lines and Commercial Momentum
The company introduced a DefenseTech family of laser systems for military maintenance, repair and overhaul, including the Missile Laser Rust Inhibitor, portable Marlin cleaners, the Blaster Cabinet 4020 and compact marking lasers. Commercial wins included a $0.25 million order from Johnson & Johnson, $0.5 million from a U.S. power utility, a $0.5 million medical device deployment, and repeat CleanTech® orders with Cummins.
