Leonardo DRS has placed an initial $350,000 order with Axon Vision for delivery of AI-driven counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) mission packages. Under the contract, Axon Vision will supply a modular, end-to-end solution capable of detection, classification, tracking and interception of low-signature aerial threats in under one second. This award follows the strategic cooperation pact signed by the two companies in late 2025, which pairs DRS’s advanced sensing and integration expertise with Axon Vision’s proven AI-based perception and autonomy algorithms. The systems will be evaluated in upcoming operational trials across both manned and unmanned ground platforms to validate rapid-response and mobile force-protection concepts for U.S. defense and homeland security forces.
