Leonardo DRS has placed an initial order valued at approximately $350,000 with Axon Vision for the delivery of a new, end-to-end AI-based counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) solution. The agreement builds on a strategic cooperation established in late 2025, combining Leonardo DRS’s advanced sensing and integration expertise with Axon Vision’s field-proven AI algorithms for real-time detection, classification, tracking and interception. The modular systems are slated for a series of operational evaluations and live exercises on both manned and unmanned ground platforms, testing performance in mobile force-protection and rapidly evolving threat environments. Both companies have stressed that the collaboration will enhance situational awareness, platform survivability and response times of U.S. defense and homeland security forces.
