LexisNexis Risk Solutions will expand its identity verification suite in Epic Connection Hub this year, letting U.S. hospitals add InstantID Q&A, Instant Verify and upcoming IDVerse AI for biometric and document authentication. It will secure patient portals by routing only verified users and use NIST IAL2 certification to detect fraud.

This expansion builds on existing InstantID Q&A and Instant Verify integrations to meet diverse risk requirements.

The expanded offering includes InstantID Q&A, Instant Verify, ThreatMetrix risk decisioning, Flex ID onboarding, Phone Finder and One Time Password, with plans to add IDVerse AI for advanced biometric and document authentication. Hospitals can mix and match components to streamline patient access.

The integration ensures only successfully verified users reach patient portals, strengthening defense against cyber threats in healthcare. It also leverages upcoming NIST IAL2-certified workflows to detect deepfakes, forgeries and other fraud through AI-driven analytics.
