LTHLTH

Since late 2023, Life Time Foundation has awarded over $3 million in grants for reforestation and conservation across nine states, including $75,000 to Miami-Dade school food forests and a $150,000 match for community green spaces. Funding has planted 10,000 whitebark pines and backed a $10,000 Missouri tornado recovery grant.

1. Grant Distribution Overview

Since late 2023, Life Time Foundation has allocated more than $3 million in multi-year grants to support reforestation, conservation and biodiversity projects across nine states. These funds reflect a strategic commitment to long-term environmental stewardship and community engagement beyond a single Earth Month.

2. Earth Month Activations

During Earth Month, team members in 15 markets across nine states participated in tree plantings, habitat restoration and green space improvements. The foundation also committed up to $150,000 in matching donations for public outdoor projects through the Happiest Outside campaign.

3. School Food Forests Expansion

For the third consecutive year, the foundation awarded a $75,000 grant to expand Food Forests in Miami-Dade County public schools, reaching over 26,000 students across more than 70 schools. Volunteers joined students to plant trees, harvest produce and integrate environmental education into schoolyards.

4. Conservation and Recovery Efforts

Beyond reforestation, the foundation’s three-year grant to American Forests has enabled planting 10,000 whitebark pines, while a $10,000 grant supported tornado recovery and nursery work in Missouri. Partnerships with Great River Greening and other organizations ensure ongoing impact in both urban and high-mountain ecosystems.
