On May 26, 2026, Eli Lilly agreed to pay up to $780 million to acquire privately held Swiss biotech LimmaTech Biologics. The deal secures a Phase 1 vaccine targeting Staphylococcus aureus surgical-site infections, signaling Lilly’s strategic push into infection prevention beyond hospital cost lines.
2. Lycia Therapeutics Series D Financing
Lycia Therapeutics completed an oversubscribed $75 million Series D financing co-led by Janus Henderson and Balyasny Asset Management. The company appointed Amy Bachrodt as CFO, promoted Karen Flick to General Counsel, and plans to use proceeds to advance clinical development in food allergy and Graves’ disease programs.
