Linde expands long-term gas supply to Tata Steel in India
LIN•Linde doubled on-site industrial gas capacity for Tata Steel in Kalinganagar, India, under a long-term supply agreement. The additional capacity supports an increase in annual steel production from 3 million to 8 million tons.
1. Expanded gas capacity
Two newly acquired air separation units now supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon for Tata Steel’s iron and steelmaking operations in Kalinganagar, Odisha. Total oxygen capacity in the region now exceeds 7,000 tons daily, supporting growing regional merchant demand.
