LQDA•Liquidia agreed to pay a net $380.7 million to settle all pending litigation with United Therapeutics. The deal includes $175 million due within 30 business days, $145.4 million in early 2027 and $60.3 million to resolve third-party interests in antitrust litigation.
1. Settlement terms
Liquidia entered a global settlement with United Therapeutics that ends all pending litigation between the companies. Liquidia agreed to pay a net $175 million within 30 business days and an additional $145.4 million in early 2027, plus $60.3 million to resolve third-party interests tied to treprostinil injection antitrust litigation.
2. Patent and label changes
The settlement follows a Sept. 30, 2026 Delaware court ruling that two claims of United Therapeutics’ ’327 patent were valid and infringed. Liquidia agreed not to appeal and filed a label supplement removing the PH-ILD indication for YUTREPIA; promotional support will end.
