Lockheed Martin delivered a record 191 F-35 jets in 2025, up from 142 in 2024, and secured a $24 billion deal for 296 more aircraft. It also won a seven-year Pentagon contract to ramp annual PAC-3 MSE interceptor production from 600 to 2,000 units, supporting future revenue growth.

1. F-35 Program Sets New Delivery and Operational Milestones

Lockheed Martin delivered a record 191 F-35 Lightning II fighters in 2025, exceeding the previous annual high of 142 jets and marking a 34% year-over-year increase. Production now runs at a pace five times faster than any other allied fighter in active manufacture. The program surpassed one million total flight hours and completed the rollout of its most advanced combat software, TR-3. The global F-35 fleet reached nearly 1,300 aircraft in service, with international customers achieving key milestones: Finland rolled out its first jet, Belgium received its first in-country aircraft, and Norway concluded fleet deliveries. In September, Lockheed Martin and the F-35 Joint Program Office finalized contracts for Lots 18–19, securing up to 296 aircraft for $24 billion, and agreed on an air vehicle sustainment contract to support fleet readiness beyond 2025. Vice President Chauncey McIntosh highlighted that the program’s scale, software enhancements and operational successes in real-world missions—from suppressing air defenses to engaging threats over allied airspace—underscore growing global demand and investor confidence in the enterprise’s long-term growth trajectory.

2. Patriot Missile Production to More Than Triple by 2032

Lockheed Martin reached a seven-year framework agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense to ramp up annual PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptor output from 600 units to 2,000. This initiative aligns with the Pentagon’s Acquisition Transformation Strategy, aiming to expand munitions stockpiles in response to sustained high consumption rates in conflicts such as Ukraine and the Middle East. Over the past two years, Lockheed increased PAC-3 production by over 60% and delivered 620 interceptors in 2025, a 20% rise from the prior year. The new agreement secures guaranteed demand, enabling Lockheed to invest in expanded manufacturing capacity and achieve operational efficiencies that are expected to lower unit costs and bolster profit margins. The PAC-3 MSE variant now serves 17 allied nations and remains a cornerstone of Western missile defense doctrine, supporting both homeland protection and forward deployments.
